Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the PNG to JPG Converter on pngfire.com?

Our free online tool instantly converts PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image files into JPG (JPEG) format. Upload your PNG, and download the converted JPG in seconds—no installation required.

2. Why should I convert PNG to JPG?

JPG files are typically smaller than PNGs, saving storage space and bandwidth. They’re also universally compatible with websites, social media, and devices. Use JPG for photos or images where transparency isn’t needed.

3. Is there a limit to file size or number of conversions?

pngfire.com allows free conversions with reasonable file size limits (e.g., up to 5-10 MB per file). Batch conversions may be supported—check the tool page for current limits.

4. Will converting PNG to JPG reduce image quality?

JPG uses lossy compression, which may slightly reduce quality for complex images. Our tool uses optimized settings to minimize quality loss. For critical graphics, preview the JPG before saving.

5. What happens to PNG transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas in your PNG will automatically be filled with a white background in the converted JPG. For transparent images, PNG remains the better choice.

6. Are my uploaded files kept private?

No. Your files are processed securely and automatically deleted from our servers shortly after conversion (usually within 1 hour). We do not store, share, or access your images afterward.

7. Is this converter free to use?

Yes! pngfire.com’s PNG to JPG Converter is completely free, with no registration or hidden fees. Optional premium features (if offered) will be clearly labeled.

8. Can I use this tool on mobile devices?

Yes. Our converter works in any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on smartphones, tablets, or computers—no app download needed.

9. Does the converter support batch processing?

Check the tool page! If batch conversion is supported, you’ll see an "Upload Multiple Files" option. If not, convert PNGs one at a time (we’re working on adding batch support soon!).

10. Why did my PNG fail to convert?

Ensure the file is a valid PNG (not corrupted) and within the size limit. Try another browser, check your internet connection, or contact support at [support@pngfire.com] for help.
